I’m the statewide data reporter for The Times-Picayune in Louisiana, where I use coding and numerical reasoning to help produce investigations and uncover stories that hold those in power to account. I also cover government and news in Bossier Parish for The Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate in northwest Louisiana.
As a Report for America corps member, my position is supported by Report Local, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening local community journalism where it is most needed (everywhere). Before coming to Louisiana, I wrote in-depth features on key local topics as a reporter for the Rochester Beacon in western New York, and I interned for The Buffalo News, where I produced data-driven investigations into housing and neighborhood issues and helped with news coverage.
